How do I make a booking?
Bookings can be completed online through the booking form displayed on the website www.transfersgem.com. You have to select the preferred date, the departure spot and destination and then follow the link, which shows the type of cars (Economy Sedans, Premium SUVs and Luxury Minibuses) and the prices of both one-way and round-trip transportation.
How far in advance should I need to book?
Making a reservation within 48 hours prior to your arrival is highly recommended. After you having completed your booking, you can rest assured knowing that your desired vehicle is available. Nevertheless, there may be last-minute bookings if the vehicle is still available. Should you need an urgent booking please call us at (+30) 6980317050.
What type of vehicle can I choose for my transfer?
At the moment we offer standard cars (1-3 passengers), Premium SUVs (1-3 passengers) and Luxury Minibuses (3-8 passengers), depending on the number of passengers that you have selected or each transfer’s requirements.
How will I find my driver?
Your driver will pick you up from your desired destination and will guide you to your shuttle. If you cannot easily find your driver, please give us a call at +306980317050.
What is the meeting point for airport pick-ups?
Once you have collected your luggage and while exiting from the airport, our chauffeur will be waiting for you at Exit A, holding a sign with your name written on it. In case that you cannot easily find the chauffeur, please call us at +30 6980317050.
What is the meeting point for port pick-ups?
Once through customs, our driver will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name written on it in order to welcome you and then he/she will guide you to your shuttle. If you cannot easily find your driver, please give us a call at +306980317050.
What is the meeting point for hotel-AirBnb apartment pick-ups?
Our driver will welcome you at the hotel’s or apartment’s lobby, holding a sign with your name written on it.
What qualities make your drivers great?
All drivers of Transfers Gem are professional and have acquired extensive experience in transfer services, placing emphasis on safety and professionalism.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Our partners constantly check any flight delays, therefore it is important that you notify us of your flight number (or any modifications) before your transfer as well as your mobile phone number. However, if you have changed your flight, it is recommended that you contact us, notifying us of any flight status and number updates.
Are there any extra charges in case that the driver will wait for me for longer due to a flight delay?
If your flight is delayed, our driver will be informed on this matter and will wait for you as stated above. There are no extra charges for our drivers waiting for your flight.
How do I know that my booking is confirmed?
After having requested a transfer through the booking form and completed the payment process, we will send you an auto-confirmation email that will include your booking details. Please check your spam or junk mail folder box if you have not received a confirmation email.
Do I get the driver’s contact details after requesting a transfer?
Yes, you will receive a second email within 24 hours prior to the pick-up time agreed, that will include the driver’s contact details. In some cases you may not receive any contact details of the driver, nevertheless the driver will contact you in any case after your landing or just before the agreed time of pick-up from your place.
Can I change the details of my transfer?
Definitely! You are allowed to change any details of your transfer. Just contact us and we will happily take care of every request, aiming to meet your needs.
Why is it better to book a private transfer than a regular taxi?
Transfersgem.com offers transfer services with fixed rates, thus you can take control of your money in advance, while rates do not depend on congestion or any other traffic condition. Moreover, in some cases you may be confused with finding public transport means and the way to get to your final destination.
Are there any extra charges for excess luggage?
You are recommended to notify us that you carry excess or oversized luggage through the booking notes of the booking form, since this may require a larger vehicle which may also incur additional charges concerning your transfer.
Apart from a transfer, can I book a tour with Transfersgem.com?
Transfersgem.com offers both taxi transfers and daily tours, with the possibility of having only a private driver or/and a tour guide. Tours can be also reorganized or planned upon request according to your preferences.
Is smoking allowed in the taxi during taxi transfers?
No, smoking is not allowed in the vehicle during transfers.
Does Transfersgem.com offer direct transfers or are there any stop-offs on the way to the final destination?
Transfersgem.com offers door-to-door taxi transfers, getting you directly to your desired destination, unless agreed upon otherwise.
Can I get transferred with pets in the vehicle?
Pets can be carried on the condition that they are in a special box/container in the vehicle’s storage compartment.
Can I request extras or an additional stop-off?
Definitely! You can have any extras during the process of reservation or later on. In case that you need something that does not exist on our pre-written list, please tap “send your driver a note” and write your own message during reservation.
What are your payment methods?
Payments for transfer services are completed according to the terms explicitly stated at the time of booking. The common method is the following: You make an 80% deposit of the total amount by credit card before the desired transfer service and the remaining 20% of the total amount shall be paid in cash to the driver on the start/end date of your service.
Are the data of my credit card secure when booking?
We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect online transactions and ensure that confidential and sensitive credit card information is transmitted securely.
Do I have to tip the driver?
It is entirely within your discretion whether to tip the driver of the vehicle.
Can I make a reservation using someone else's credit card?
If you do not own a credit card, then you can use someone else’s credit card, on the condition that you have received permission from the cardholder.
Are prices for transfer services shown per person or per vehicle?
Prices for transfer services are always shown per vehicle and not per person. The type of the vehicle is determined through the number of passengers.
Can I cancel or modify my reservation?
Yes, you are allowed to cancel or modify your reservation in written form, sending an email at info@transfers.com within at least 48 hours prior to pick-up time agreed.
What is the cancellation policy of Transfersgem.com?
In case that you cancel your reservation within 48 hours prior to pick-up time agreed, you get a full refund. Otherwise, Transfersgem.com reserves the right not to refund you and you will not in any case get a full refund.
Please note that a full refund does not include transaction fees of 2,8% or 3,4% charged by credit card providers concerning PayPal payments. When cancelling your reservation, we do not get these transaction fees back.
How can I make sure that my reservation was successfully cancelled?
After requesting a cancellation, you will receive a cancellation email. In case that you do not receive this email promptly, please check your spam or junk mail folder box.
